A New York man has a beef jerky with Taco Bell — which he claims gorges customers on the beef, beans, and other fixings.
In a proposed class action lawsuit, New York resident Frank Siragusa accused Taco Bell of deceptive business practices, arguing that their online ads for Crunchwrap Supreme, Mexican Pizza and various menu items did not match the products.
The lawsuit, filed in New York’s Eastern District Court on Monday, includes side-by-side images of Taco Bell ads for Crunchwrap Supreme, Vegan Crunchwrap, Grande Crunchwrap, Mexican Pizza, and Veggie Mexican Pizza, along with what he and other customers claim are images. Actual items – which makes a stark difference.
Siragusa alleged that the company advertised products with twice as much beef to customers, at a time when meat prices were prohibitive.
“Taco Bell’s actions are especially troubling now that inflation, food and meat prices are so high and many consumers, especially low-income consumers, are struggling financially,” Siragusa’s attorney wrote in the suit.
Taco Bell did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
The lawsuit hopes to compensate at least $5 million to New York customers who ate any of the five items listed in the lawsuit at Taco Bell within the past three years.

The final straw was when Siragusa purchased a Mexican pizza at Taco Bell in Ridgewood, New York, for $5.49 on Sept. 20, 2022, according to the lawsuit.
“If (Siragoza) had known that the Mexican pizza had half the amount of beef and bean filling as advertised, he would not have bought the Mexican pizza and/or would not have paid the $5.49 price he paid for the Mexican pizza,” his attorney wrote in the lawsuit.
According to Reuters, The company’s attorneys representing Siragusa also sued Wendy’s, McDonald’s, and Burger King, on similar grounds, citing deceptive differences between their advertised products and actual products.
Siragusa’s attorney did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
