United has temporarily banned a woman from flying with the airline after she caused a plane to divert.

United Airlines has banned a woman from traveling with the airline after a flight was forced to divert from its intended destination, United Airlines said in a statement.
The woman was on board United Flight 1813 on July 25, which was scheduled to fly from Houston, Texas, to Los Angeles, according to a United statement.
The flight was diverted to Phoenix, Arizona, because the woman was “disturbing” and “refused to follow the flight attendant’s instructions to return to her seat,” the statement said. United did not identify the woman.
Several videos of the incident have been posted to TikTok By a user named Blake Perkins, who was a passenger on the flight. In one of the videos, Perkins wrote that flight attendants did not allow women to “drink their wine.”
United declined to comment on Perkins’ claims. Insider could not immediately reach Perkins for comment.

In another video, Two flight attendants are shown ordering the woman to remain in her seat and warning her that she would be arrested if she refused. The woman continued to refuse to be seated.
The flight attendant can be heard saying in the video: “I know you’re drinking and you’re not allowed to. I’m still letting you on the plane.”
According to United’s statement, the woman was disembarked from the plane in Los Angeles and banned from traveling with the airline.
“Law enforcement officials met the aircraft upon arrival and removed the passenger, and the flight subsequently departed for Los Angeles later that evening. The customer was banned from future United flights while this matter was reviewed,” United told Insider.
This is not the first time a passenger has been removed from a United flight. In July, United picked up a passenger from a flight bound for Taiwan next Continue to stand and walk to the Business Class cabin. The flight has been diverted to San Francisco.
